Engineering I HVAC Renovation
Location: Orlando, Florida
Scope called for the phased installation of all items to maintain the occupied building with no disruption to the building occupants. Demolition of select AHUs, chilled water piping, ductwork, pumps, exhaust fans, fume hoods, electrical, fire alarm, and building automation system. Installed new air handler units, chilled water pumps, fume hoods, exhaust fans, dampers, VFDs, sensors, chilled water piping, and ductwork. Included new electrical breakers, disconnects, conduit, and wiring, as required for the replacement of the mechanical components and for new components. Removal, storage, and reinstallation of fire alarm duct detectors and shut-down relays for the associated mechanical equipment. Sealed off walls to eliminate migration of air from future lab spaces to other areas in the building. Included new roof walk pads and penetrations required to facilitate this scope of work. New structural steel for the support and tie-down of mechanical equipment.
